Baby sleep sounds app — white noise, lullabies and womb sound, without ads
As a baby sleep sounds app, Agubu keeps everything in one list: 16 sounds, all playing on your device, no internet needed, no ad ever cutting in. Eight are free — white, pink and brown noise, womb sound, heartbeat, shushing, a Brahms lullaby and rain. The other eight are in Premium.
Anyone who has played white noise from a video site knows the moment: an ad cuts in before dawn, or the connection drops, and the baby wakes. In Agubu the sounds ship with the app; the noises are generated on the device, nothing is downloaded, and it plays until morning in airplane mode.
16 sounds: 8 free, 8 Premium
The eight free sounds are never locked, and the timer is free too. Every sound has its own page in the sound library.
- Free: white noise, pink noise, brown noise, womb sound, heartbeat, shushing, lullaby — Brahms, rain
- Premium: fan, vacuum cleaner, car ride, hair dryer, ocean, stream, lullaby — Mozart, lullaby — Schubert
A sleep timer that fades out
What wakes a baby is usually not noise but sudden silence. So Agubu's timer never cuts the sound off; as the time runs out it lowers the volume gradually until it stops. The card for the playing sound offers 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes, and the countdown shows on the same card.
Sound keeps playing in the background and with the screen locked; the app can play audio in the background, but it can never record.
Mixer: up to 4 sounds at once (Premium)
Some babies settle to rain alone, others to rain plus a heartbeat. The Mixer in Premium layers up to 4 sounds at once, each at its own level. Womb sound with brown noise, stream with shushing — you build the combination.
How to use it in the app
- Open the Sounds tab; sounds are listed by category such as Noise, Womb and Lullaby.
- Tap the play button next to a sound; the card for the playing sound appears at the top of the screen.
- Set the timer with one of the 15m / 30m / 45m / 60m options on the card; when the time is up the sound fades out slowly.
- In Premium, tap the Mixer card, add up to 4 sounds from the list and set each level.
Safe volume and distance
Do not put the phone in or on the edge of the cot; keep it at least one to two metres away. Keep the volume low enough that you can speak in a normal voice in the room and be heard easily — if it drowns you out, it is too loud. Do not let a loud setting become the habit; turning it down once the baby has settled is always a good move. For why it helps and how strong the evidence is, read White noise.

Frequently asked questions
Are the baby sleep sounds free?
Eight sounds and the timer are permanently free: white, pink and brown noise, womb sound, heartbeat, shushing, the Brahms lullaby and rain. Premium adds eight more sounds and the mixer.
Does it work offline and without ads?
Yes. The sounds ship with the app or are generated on the device; nothing needs downloading or a connection. There are no ads in the app, so nothing ever cuts in.
Is white noise bad for babies?
With the right volume and distance, common guidance treats it as safe; the problem is a device playing loud and close to the cot. Keep the phone away, keep the volume low, and turn it down further once the baby settles. For the state of the evidence, read White noise.
