Baby app privacy — no account, no server, no tracking

Baby app privacy in Agubu means something concrete: there is no account, no server, no sync, no ads, no analytics, no crash reports and no cookies — not on this website either. Every record about your baby lives in a local database on your phone and never leaves it. It is an offline baby tracker with no account, and it stays that way.

The audio from a cry analysis is never written to disk. The microphone opens only when you tap Listen to the cry, and for 8 seconds; the audio is held in volatile memory and erased the moment the analysis finishes. Only the result remains.

The list of what is not there

  • No account, no sign-in — open the app and start
  • No server of ours — there is nowhere for your records to go
  • No sync, no cloud backup
  • No ads, no ad network
  • No analytics, no crash reports — we do not watch how you use it
  • No cookies — and no third-party requests on this website

The two times the app goes online

The app connects to the internet in exactly two cases, and you start both:

  • Subscription — if you buy Premium, the purchase is verified through RevenueCat. Only the purchase history and an anonymous subscriber ID are transferred; neither is linked to you and there is no tracking.
  • Notifications — only if you turn them on.

What Apple's privacy label says

The privacy label on the App Store lists just two items: “Purchase History” and “User ID”. Both are marked “Not Linked to You” and “No Tracking”. There is no health, location, contacts, audio or usage data item — because none is collected. The full text is in the privacy policy.

How to use it in the app

  1. Open Settings → Your data; it states that records are kept on this phone only, and delete-all lives here.
  2. The only way to take records off the device is the 30-day doctor report in Premium: on the History tab, open the Doctor report card and tap Share as PDF. There is no raw record export and no cloud backup.
  3. Delete all data cannot be undone and removes every entry about your baby from the device.
  4. Deleting the app also removes all app data from the device; the subscription record stays with your store account.

The price of having no account

We say it up front: when you move to a new phone, your records do not come along on their own, because they were never on our side. Premium comes back with “Restore purchases” under the same store account; the records stay on the old phone. The only thing you can take with you is the 30-day doctor report PDF in Premium. An app does not need to take your data to keep it safe — the price is that the records are tied to the phone.

Frequently asked questions

Does my baby's data go to the cloud?

No. There is no account, no server of ours and no sync. Records live in a local database on your phone. The app only goes online when you buy a subscription or if you turn notifications on.

Are the audio recordings stored?

No. Audio is never written to disk; it is held in volatile memory for 8 seconds and erased the moment the analysis finishes. The app cannot record in the background.

How do I delete my data or take it with me?

Under Settings → Your data you can delete everything; deletion cannot be undone. Because we do not hold your records, you cannot request them from us; the only thing you can take off the device is the doctor report PDF in Premium. For requests about your data protection rights, write to the address on the support page.
